Sheet 1: Includes 9 pictures of birds. Each bird has a line from head to tail, children are asked to measure this line then order the birds from shortest to longest. Sheet 2: Includes 3 pictures for birds and their wingspan in cm. Children need to go around the classroom and find objects the same as the birds wingspan. Great for practise using a ruler/metre stick. Gaining accuracy and confidence in measurement.

Shuffle and take turns to turn over the card and times by the number shown on the printed sheet. If child says correct answer they cover the answer with their counter. Child with most counters wins.
